Yeah, I was referencing the fact that the other 500ml Guinness bottles are $2.59, you could buy 7 for the same price.

Uhm no. Don't get me wrong, I love Guinness, but the price point is a little ridiculous in comparison to other options that are not only cheaper, but probably far tastier than this will end up being.

A friend brought it to a bottle share. It's decent, but definitely not worth $35+.

No but I've definitely had the chance. I imagine this only being purchased as holiday gifts. The packaging is pretty and there's the name recognition too.

It was sort of a rhetorical question, $35 is overpriced.

After seeing 2 reviews stating "not worth the price at all" that's all I needed to hear.

Don't pass up a chance to taste it if - say your brother-in-law got one as a xmas gift from someone not hip to craft beer because it really is quite good!

Managed to sell the one case (6 bottles) fairly easily, but it isn't a product I really want to stock as I don't see customers thinking they got their money's worth

Thought this was a bad idea prior to reading any reviews. I applaud them for keeping the fires burning, but they do nothing for me even on Nitro...

This is not like any of their other beers, certainly not their more recent lighter ones but also it is like none of their various stouts either.... nitro or not.

Not trying to get anyone to buy it, I don't care, but some other comments as well going back pages here on this thread seem to promote the idea that it is just one of their same old beers in a fancy bottle - it isn't. And 1759 is really pretty good, just not $35 good IMHO,...

Nope. Not for an Amber at that ridiculous price. Maybe if they barreled aged the regular stout.

It's actually selling really well at my store (priced at $32.99). The craziest shit sells at Christmas. Perfect time to release this.

I would have a hard time half of that from these guys. Ti would have to be on a scale of a BCBS or Backwoods Bastard to pay that much...

I won't even pay $38.00 for an entire case of guinness anymore. $35.00 for one bottle? No thanks, I could list the beer I would rather drop that kind of coin on but I won't. From reading these comments I don't think anyone will buy this beer at anywhere close to the asking price. When it hits about 10 buck and is officially a shelf turd I might pick it up. I will end by saying screw guinness for perpetrating this scam on us. They must be punished.
