This is a really great beer, but I don't feel like it's talked about. I've had a ton of people ask me about it when I mentioned I was able to get a couple of extra bottles. I'm happy to part with them, but it seemed like the demand far exceeded the brand status.

They make damn good beers down there, but I don't see them talked a lot about. What have they traded for in the past? Just curious

I've thrown them in as extras before. Never actually traded one though.

I got one as an extra (from a very generous trader, Thanks axic10!) and I must say it was delicious! I feel this is the type of beer where right now it's not trading too high but once more people try it and see how good it is that it will be trading higher in the future. I say drink them up and love them right now and buy more bottles in the future for trading

The main AleWerks beer I've gotten interest in is Bitter Valentine, but I do have people ask me for BB Porter and Cafe Royale, so I'd say people are catching on. That being said since they are shelf beers here that's what I would expect for them in trade.

Yeah, that's what I figured. I'm just looking to trade for some of the Boulevard Smokestack rye on rye. I was offering Frangelic Mountain Brown for it. Then I was able to get a couple extra bottles of the Bourbon Barrel Porter, and the offers went through the roof once I mentioned I got it.

It just seemed odd that I got no bites for the FMB when looking for the Rye on Rye but this was immediately sought out

I value it pretty high because it's tasty as hell. I try to keep some around at all times, but when it comes down to it, it's under the radar and doesn't take all that much to get ahold of.

Founders has a much larger distribution area than Alewerks

Just had the Cafe Royale at a bottle share in Texas and holy cow! it is awesome! Was the highlight of the bottle share.

Damnit, I'd rather have this be one of VA/DC/MD's best kept secrets, like DuClaw Retribution and DC Brau's Oaked Hell's Bottom.

Rye on Rye is a shelf beer and sits around so it shouldn't be too hard to get.

I want to give BB Porter another shot, last time I had it it was bourbon bomb for me, hopefully it was just that specific batch.

ao125, my biggest regret is not picking up more of the Retribution when it was available. It was a phenomenal beer.

Hanzo, I'd give it another try. This years batch at least is fantastic

Glad I managed to get a couple at Total Wine. Bitter Valentine blew me away this year, so I'm looking forward to trying more of their beers.
