Is there any schedule posted on releases? It seems they trickle out from time to time but I can never know when. Love Secret Admirer and many others. Just wondering...
They don't put out a release calendar like a lot of breweries, to my knowledge. You can count on a few things regularly, in my somewhat limited experience: Bitter Valentine for Valentine's day (duh?) Jubilee in late August around their anniversary Marley's Lament before Thanksgiving Grand Illumination early December The other big releases this year like Imperial BA Pumpkin (weekend before Halloween) and Secret Admirer (August, I think?) were new this year so no real track record for those yet. Other things like Cafe Royale and Bourbon Barrel Porter seem to pop up a few times a year without much rhyme or reason from what I can tell (I think they each get 3 months in the barrel). Would be cool if there was an official Alewerks account or someone who actually knows that could post on here. I'm pretty sure everything I just said is accurate but grain of salt I suppose!
That seems pretty close . I think Lover's Greed ( sour ) comes out around late spring . And I just saw on their site that Grand Illumination is BBA this year . At the tap room now . Will have to try that one .
Didn't secret admirer come out in Sept? At least the single bottle I got the beginning of November was stamped the end of Sept. It was great at 75 days old, would love to try it fresh.
That's correct. It was supposed to be released when draft went on in mid-August but bottles were delayed and those came out mid-Sept.
Yes sorry, bottles were later but it was on tap sooner - it was supposed to be released the 1st week in August, I think. I called and called because I loved small batch 8 so much. They said the OG wasn't hitting high enough so they were giving it more time. So really no clue when they'd release it next year if they did it again but considering BV comes out in February, makes sense to throw the other DIPA out 6 months later in August. At least to my pea brain. Lover's greed, I believe, is in barrels. It gets 18 months in there though I think so I really don't know when we'll see that one next.
Fresh Secret Admirer was easily on of the best new beers I tried this year. Hope they release that one more than once-a-year, but I think it's more likely that we won't see it again until next August. There's still some bottles sitting on shelves, but I'm sure it's a much different beer, now. They recently released Marley's Lament, Grand Illumination (or maybe this is upcoming), and their Coffeehouse Stout comes back this weekend.
Grand Illumination had it's bottle release last weekend, 11/28. I also wish they had a release calendar. I have the last bottle they had of Imperial Pumpkin this year in my stash waiting for the perfect time to open it.
