I just got this from the CT Beer Trail

Thoughts, anyone? I've personally not had a chance to make it out there, although I've heard good things. Either way, I feel things like this rarely turn out well...

I just got this as well, and was trying to talk my wife into going to the benefit. I've been to the Winchester a few times, and always enjoyed it: fresh NEBCO on tap + excellent bar food + fair prices = a place that deserves to survive, IMO.

Their location just isn't conducive to random stop-in traffic, and especially with a new establishment it's hard to build a regular clientele without that kind of exposure. As sad as I am that they aren't succeeding, I can't say that I'm surprised. Here's hoping a good turnout from the area's beer aficionados will help them turn things around.

Far more important than showing up on Saturday, though, I imagine, would be telling your friends and acquaintances in the area about the place. I feel like every time I've mentioned it to someone new they haven't even been aware of its existence - something that simply isn't the case with other beer bars in town. I certainly think that if more people knew what they were doing they wouldn't need our help, so let's get the word out!

It's a nice place and they do support all the CT breweries. Drop in and try help. Nice tap lineup and I really think NEBCO delivers on a hand truck.

Anyone going to go to this today? Last night they had the heat turned off, only 1 tv on and they weren't serving food.

That's sad. I wish i lived closer, would definitely frequent the place. Wanted to stop in there earlier this week during the Redrum release, but they were closed.
