Hey all! I'm in the process of buying a house and of course my new cellar situation is of utmost importance! I have a great spot in the basement but it has two small windows. How would you deal with this issue and what's the best way to keep the light out? I'm not sure if the blackout curtains would suffice?

Any info would be awesome thanks everyone.

If they are basement windows (the long rectangular ones) you can stuff fiberglass insulation in them, paper side facing into the basement and hold it in with clear packing tape. Its a win win because it will block light and keep the basement temp more consistent. You cab usually get a roll of insulation thats really close to the right width too so it will be a nice fit.

I have my beer in a metal storage cabinet with shelves, seems to keep the light out and what doesn't fit stays next to it in the case.

I use metal beer signs over the windows  Insulation behind the signs is a good idea too.
