Our barrel selections have a sort of rhythm to it. We do our brainless on peaches (belgian strong gold w peach puree) in white wine barrels. Our Cherries (belgian strong gold w cherry puree) in red wine barrels. They are the same base beer. Then we also use a mix of red and white to make our sours. Our other barrel aged beers are whiskey barrels.

Before being barrel manager here, I also had a short stay at BFM, which was also mentioned earlier. We usually had 4 types of wine barrels that were blended together. Also, took one of the types and made the grand cru. That may have changed since then.

And NZ Moa imperial stout is aged in pinot noir barrels.

Local MA brewery - Mystic - from time to time releases wine barrel aged beers. Recently they released one aged in Sauternes barrels.

Hof Ten Dormaal did their Belgian Blonde in Madeira barrels two years ago and currently have their BDSA in Madeira. I just finished the entire Blonde barrel aged set, pretty interesting series.

There's a Sucre Madeira version as well.
