    I'll just leave this here...

Who is ready for some Wine Barrel Noir?

Wine Barrel Noir is our imperial oatmeal stout aged in red wine barrels. In fact, it’s agingright at this very moment. It has coffee & chocolate notes from the stout that are complimented by tart berry flavors and oak picked up from the wine barrels. It’s some seriously good stuff, and it’s rated a 97 on ratebeer. One fan described Wine Barrel Noir as “an Imperial Stout and a jammy Pinot Nior got together and made the perfect baby.” Yum. And thanks JimmyW for the great review.

Wine Barrel Noir is perfect alone as a dessert beer, or try it out with some red meat. It tastes best when consumed while wearing our goat skull tee. Ok, you can wear whatever you want. But the tee is pretty cool.

We are looking at a May 9ish release date in Oklahoma & Texas, so you have 17 more days before you can taste the goodness. Wine Barrel Noir is also headed to Arkansas.

    Cheers.

    Jessi

I think this was the first Prairie beer I had. So glad it's back (and in Texas!)

I've heard rumors this one is infected. So please leave all bottles on the shelf. :grinning:

I have one of the original big bottles in the cellar. Can anyone tell me how it is drinking or make any suggestions?

Yeah, it's drinking amazing currently. Had it on tap at R-Bar.. was also DELISH there. I really wish this was an OK only release again and was C&C.. oh well..

I could be mistaken but @kmello69 was telling me last month that the noir they had was garbage and was drinking terribly. Maybe he could chime in?

with only 4k bottles it should be. To be honest, I don't mind sharing to some extent. I just miss C&C bottles. Perfect for aging and sharing. However, I know how much of a pain in the dick bottling them were. Just glad chase is going good for him self.

Yeah, I miss the C&C bottles as well. But I'm confused, are you saying that they quite using those bottles due to a wider distribution?

Couldn't keep up with demand with that bottling process.

Never C&Ced a bottle before but I hear it can be quite the process. (I just realized I used the word quite, instead of quit in my last post ) But back on topic, since you have had this beer already, how is the barrel coming through? And more specifically how are the wine and stout flavors playing together? I've had all the other noirs, and I thought they were fantastic. I have wanted to try the wine barrel version for a while, and I am really excited that I'll possibly get a chance.

Besides the lower ABV, how does this compare to Wineification (Bruery). I really enjoyed that beer, so I'm hoping it's similar.

They also were hard to open with the number of twists they put in the early bottles. Looking forward to this coming out again.
