bought 3 bottles at specs RR, no limit.

at 8 bucks a pop though it had better be good or ill shy away from other releases.

chillin in the fridge right now with the last sixxer of dr14 that was just sitting there wanting to be bought, along iwth a 4 pack of fis.

It reminded me of Black Butte XXV. I'd swear there was fruit in this beer.

Nobody should listen to people who know what Franzia tastes like :grinning:

Liked it, but doubt id pay 8 per 12oz again. Just not my style, like my impy stouts without the tart of a wine.

although it was def a nice change of pace and easily drinkable. As a matter of fact, just finished it

Just not sure if its worth 8 per bottle for my tastes is all.

great first delve into prarie though as alll the other flavors sound very appealing, if i can ever get my hands on them.

I liked BBXXV more than this, and it did have a fruitish taste but not nearly as much as this one.

Were you able to get Bomb or BB? That's more up your alley and can help if needed. 8 a pop is the typical going rate over here.

I didn't care for this one. The wine barrel was way too much and not what I'd like from a stout. I much prefer a bourbon barrel stout to a wine barrel when the barrel is forward. I've liked all the other variations of Noir so will continue to buy them when available as well as other Prairie creations.

Oh man, I loved it because the wine barrel was very pronounced but I kind of figured this one would be a little polarizing since the wine is so strong.

I don't drink wine, but I do love how much the wine barrel contributes to this beer. Great job on this one (again) Prairie! Now if we could get some Birra and more Hop down/whatever else non-stout they're working on down here....

I really liked this one and how much the wine barrel comes through on it, but I also drink red wine. I thought the flavors played well with each other. The tannins from the wine actually helped give this a nice dry finish. I though the initial flavor on the palate was more of a dark cocoa covered dark fruit and finishes with some oak and just a bit of tart from the barrel.

Is there any of this left in Austin? I've been out of town and would like to grab one if there are any left somewhere.

it seems like it is still popping up in random places. Central Market N. Lamar still has it. Food Mart 2400 tweeted today they had it, Mueller HEB yesterday tweeted they got some in.

I think your best bet is CM and Food Mart 2400 (no idea where that is, but I am sure google will do the trick)
