Winking Lizard Barrel Aged Beer Fest

Yeah, I'll be there. They said there would be updates soon, so I imagine they'll release a list this week or so. But yeah, I've got nothing other than what they've posted. People have hinted that it should be well worth the wait, though. I want to say there are 20+ beers, too...I think? Last year was something like 14 or 16.

De Dolle was the highlight for me.

Any idea when the list will be out? It's always an amazing event and I know I will not be disappointed, but I am also impatient!

 

They're probably still finalizing the list. There is a lot of effort (and haggling I'm sure) that goes into arranging all these "special" kegs.

 

I'll drop some hints at some of the highlights that I've heard...not 100% sure all these made the final cut, so, there's the disclaimer...

• Something in cognac barrels from Thirsty Dog.
• Great Lakes BA, not something from the BA Blackout party. I dare you to figure it out.
• A BA impy stout from Southern California named after the head brewer. It's aged in bourbon barrels so it's not green, and it tastes so good it'll be gone in a flash.
• A beer from overseas that is so good you'll tip back in your chair
• A first for Ohio, this one squeaked in at 11.7%

 

Sounds awesome! I know #2 and #3; I think I know #1 and #5. Wish I knew #4! Based on this, I am most excited for #3! Absolutely love that beer.

 

List looks damn good so far! I would love to have BBPt5 there as well since it's only 11%.

Bourbon Barrel Aged Bitches Brew was confirmed today. I can't find a review/check in for it anywhere.

• Thirsty Dog Siberian Night aged in a WL/Lizardville Woodford Reserve Barrel

Oh yeah, forgot about...

• The OHIO DEBUT of Goose Island Bourbon County Barleywine!!!
