Winking monk on the Abt 12 bottle?

Do you have Discord? If so here is the IOS instructions. Upload it to Discord, select the image, hit share image, hit open in browser, hit share image again, hit copy, paste into where it asks for image URL. On the interwebs, I came across this image for the winking monk. Or maybe this monk was punched by Rocky?

 

That picure says less “please enjoy this beer we crafted in our abbey” than it does “You’re about to find out why they call me the Bill Cosby of brewing.”

They should add him doing metal devil horns with his hand too.

 

This thread is the most subtle new label announcement ever.

 

The importer (D&V International, Inc.) submitted a separate COLA for the winking monk, er counsellor , back when the labels appear to have changed ~2022. Here is a side by side for the comparison.

 

Their bottling machine must run really slowly to be able to have someone keep track and feed in that one 1/1000th label by hand.

 

The hardest part of operating it is getting into the locked room where it is kept, but it is so easy a monk key could do it.

 

I read it as each time they have to change a 1000 count label roll the packaging people put a winking label on one can

 

Did you mean to say bottle, or are they doing it on cans too?

 

Meant to say bottle, but since I'm into "craft beer" I can only think of cans

This thread right here is what keeps me coming back to BA.

That said, I googled “St. Bernard’s ABT label” images and about half of them show the monk winking. I feel like I thought that was just part of the standard image. Up is down, black is white.
