Planning a quick trip for a case of Heady today. WB facebook page says the release 1/2 the cases in the A.M. and the other half at 5. Can I expect to grab a case if I get there around 1? I really don't want to wait til 5. Thanks for any advise.
They are usually pretty good with updates on FB and will let you know if there are still some around. Being a nondescript Wed., it could work. It is usually released 11:30-1p depending on drop off. Good luck.
Last week a line had formed for the AM drop on Tuesday and Thursday (according to their FB posts). Why there was a line I don't know, but it was Jazz fest and lots of tourists were in town so that might have been part of it. If at 1pm the Bevy is sold out I would check Pearl St. Beverage downtown. Otherwise you'll have no problem getting a case at 5:30.
I got there around 1:45-2pm 2 prior Thursdays ago and there were cases left after those waiting in line bought their cases, who had been waiting since around 10:30 and truck arrived around 1:15-1:30. It depends when the truck arrives. Sometimes the delivery truck arrives around 11pm and sometimes it doesn't arrive until 2pm. There's been some left overs lately and if it's not a holiday weekend, then you should be okay around 1pm. Those waiting in line might have already picked up their Heady and left or maybe they'll still be waiting in line.
Although, if you can shave off 30 minutes and get there by 12:30, your chances will probably increase by at least 20% and by 40% if you get there at noon. Never any guarantees, but I think you should have good odds if you arrive around 1 pm.
Beverage Warehouse of Vermont Just now ยท Heady will be a little later today due to a traffic accident on delivery route. ( Mateo and the Beer are fine and were not involved ) We do not have an estimated time.
