I can kinda agree because when I visit my local brewpub for their winter beer with family that drive in for the holidays they're always sold out... in December

I can do Octoberfests a bit early. Blvd Bob's 47 and SA Tumbler already have their places in my fridge. Going to hold on to the Pumking for a few more weeks though. Pumpkin is more late fall though I guess if I want any others I better get them.

Since breweries are already releasing their holiday mixes, which is at no point way to early or idiotic.

I'm not sure if you have seen any but I know shiner has already released theirs. Any other breweries jumping the gun?

Abita Christmas Ale at the grocery store today. New Belgium has a winter seasonal out in a couple places here.

Troegs says it's leaving the factory on the 15th. I can't wait to get my hands on a case.
I did find it humorous though that Mad Elf is coming out two full weeks before their pumpkin beer.

I've seen Sam Smith's Winter on the shelf for a week or two already. Didn't know English breweries were jumping on the bandwagon, but apparently they are (at least in this case).

Edit: And before anyone asks, yeah, it's the Winter 13'-14'.

Deschutes, Ninkasi, Widmer, Redhook, and New Belgium, were all at Safeway today.

New Belgium already has accumulation out.

Would've thought a shiner release would be the opposite of a sign of a holiday...

Now conditioned to an October release for beers of this ilk, seen it for last few years:angry:

    Spring beers already.

    Summer beers already.

    Next years Fall beers already!

I don't really care. If the beer is good, I'm not going to care if it's out "too early."

It isn't the fact that I don't like winter beer or what ever, it is the fact that they start shuffling the pumpkins and oktobers out.

You are correct but, for what it is worth, many places here in the states don't follow that schedule and will celebrate Oktoberfests all throughout October.

It's not just beer that this is happening with. Just saw an add that started with "now that winter is here" for an automotive repair shop, and while there's still Halloween stuff on the shelf, many retailers have Christmas decorations on the shelf.
