I was shocked on my way home from work today to find a 12-pack of SN Snowpack, let alone for $12.99.. Anyway just cracked open the first Coffee Stout and damn is it good! I'm already justifying buying another 12-pack for that beer alone...

This will be the first time my having an interest in beer coincides with the winter release season. Which I suppose is what it was like to be a child with a sufficiently developed consciousness to really anticipate Christmas for the first time. Forthcoming releases that I can expect to find locally, and which I'm especially looking forward to, are: BA Narwhal, FW XVIII, the Abyss, and Brown Shuggah'. Thanks to a fellow BA, I was also alerted to today's release of Kentucky Dark Star, which I'm sure will be a very rich and delicious offering.

I've already seen Deschutes Jubelale on shelves here as of last week. I will buy that beer, but not before Nov. 1st. SN Celebration always starts off my winter seasonal purchases for the year. Closer to the holidays themselves I look for SA Winter mix pack, Delirium Noël, and Backwoods Bastard when I'm back east in New England.

Any Bourbon County I can get my hands on, BA Narwhal sounds great. Black Chocolate Stout is also one I'll look for. I understand Victory At Sea will be out in 6 packs, Surly Darkness is also on my list.

Having Founders Breakfast Stout has me pretty content for now. Plus, in a new market where I am not really up to speed on what I should be expecting and looking out for other than Backwoods Bastard and KBS, both of which I really hope I can find some of.

Gonna miss Odell's Isolation Ale and Runoff Red that is for sure. As well as Big Bad Baptist.
