I have a friend that says the same thing, and it is a constant point of debate between us. I feel like I do not even like it anymore. Way too sweet. I used to love it though.

Definitely can see how you may think it's too sweet. For me, that subtle hint of honey on the back end perfectly compliments that upfront bitterness and explosion of hops. A great night cap at 10% !

All of this talk gets me thinking, Damn I better start saving. With all the stouts coming out, fresh hop beers (usually bombers):angry:and that snowpack from seirra nevada. I'm going to send apology letters now to everybody I know stating Im sorry I couldn't afford Christmas gifts this year.

Hopslam is very high on my list as are Bourbon County and the variants. Not very original but excited to see how they vary from year to year.

    Framinghammer and variants.

Also if SA decides to put their good winter beers in the winter variety pack, those too, but based on recent trends I'm not holding my breath.

Agree with you on Framinghammer, except that you can get it almost year-round (such as right now . But can't wait for a fresh batch...you'd think it better aged, but IMO the flavors are perfect when it's fresh.

2XMas. One of the contenders for my favorite beer overall.

Also we just got Fireside Chat in at work today. Though not one of my top winter picks, it is a pleasant surprise.
