    Hey all,

My buddy is up in the Dells area right now and asked if I wanted him to bring me back anything. For anyone up in Wisconsin that's been in a decent beer shop lately, I ask you this:

Are there any limited or seasonal beers not available down in Illinois (either WI beers, or just stuff they get and we don't) that are on the shelves right now? I'll have him pick up some Belgian Red and maybe some other New Glarus, but I was looking for things that an Illinoisian might not think of.

Didn't see any other threads on this, so thanks in advance for any suggestions!

I just got back from a trip to WI this week. I brought back several New Glarus beers of course. I also picked up a few from Ale Asylum and Tyranena (sp?) that were fantastic.

Also I'm not sure what availability near you is like (here it was sold out), but I found several bottles of Founder's Frangelic Mountain Brown available.

Have him stop by Zinke's in the Dells. He should be able to find you a good variety of Wisconsin and out-of-state beers that may not be available to you. Can't speak for any beers in particular, since I haven't been in to Zinke's in a while, but I know Derek tries hard to keep a nice supply of decent releases in-stock.

Also, as of yesterday, there is some FMB on the shelves at Viking in Baraboo (about 10 mins. from the Dells) if you're interested, as well as a good variety of beer to peruse.

Don't bother with Oskar Blues. It will be available in Chicago/suburbs August 20th.

If your friend hits Zinke's there are a few cases of Central Waters 2011 BB Stout left - make sure to pickup at least a four pack. Bedlam should be available but I hate to say it is not as good this year as previous. As for Tyranena - Dirty Old Man should still be around, its a solid rye-porter with chocolate.

Have him bring back New Glarus: Staghorn, Dancing Man, and Moon Man. Can't go wrong.
