    Well, it's not. That is the Brown & Robust.

    All I want is for someone to write the coffee table book Capital and Wisconsin "The Rise and Fall of Kirby and Carl". I would kickstart the crap out of that....

    If you haven't been following the ups and downs of Capital's ownership since 1986 (yeah, that's almost 30 years) you owe it to yourself to look into it. I don't see Kirby or Carl going away anytime soon. Capital, on the other hand, will probably succumb to their internal strife sooner than later -- unfortunately.

    @Ri0
    Strange that the web page jumps from #007 to #009 without a mention of #008...

    Stopped in for a few after the Sour Peach release at NG a few weeks back and was impressed. I knew the brewery itself was going to be nice with the amount of money spent. The Porter Joe and the Zenith that my wife and I had were very good. Surprisingly so since the only beer I had from them was a bottled Amber. We took the tour and the guy said that Kirby is not happy the way the beer is tasting from the bottles and that the plan is to install a bottling line next year so everything will be in house, not bottled in Steven's Point. Perhaps that was the problem with the Amber that I had along with maybe done of the low ratings. If they do get that bottling line I'm willing to bet it won't be used.

    These are the types of beers I would like to see from Kirby at Wisconsin Brewing. There are so many newbies on this site memories run short of his Capital days and his maibock, dark doppelbock, blonde doppelbock...Bavarian Lager (I really miss that beer), even their Klosterweizen.....I know they make some of those still at Capital but they aren't the same in my opinion....they lost their focus on what they did best...German lagers for the most part.....I was not super excited to see the original Wisconsin brewing lineup and even the saison was going the wrong direction in my opinion....things like this and their Maibock are what I will be buying...

    I forgot to post that Bleeding Heart dark amber Saison should be out this week or next. Interesting to see Kirby brew not just one, but two Sasion styles.

    It's in stores, or at least ours, now. Old Reliable should be in this week as well.

    Wisconsin Brewing? Not that I'd heard, but I'd be glad to see it. Where did you spot it?
