Interesting to note that psychopath was placed on the shelf here with the standard $7.99 tag but scanned up as $9.99
I rcvd a $2. discount when I brought the discrepancy to the clerks attention and he promptly pulled the tag. So is that what we can expect from a higher abv offering from WI Brewing? If so that's fine, just keep the 6-pack format.

I saw it priced at $10.69 today. Not willing to commit before I first try on bottle. What do you think of it?

Love it! But I'm a hop happy guy. Picked up the 2014 Celebration ale as well, a nice 1-2 combo.
At least my 1st impression was very good, we'll see how the remainder plays out but I'm feeling that it won't be my last purchase. Although at the $10. pricing there will be a bit more competition for my hop dollars.

I think it is very solid. Tropical hop flavor. Well balanced. I purchased my second six pack last night.

Drinking Psychopath now - actually my first WI Brewing beer. Good beer - malty nose, nice tropical hop flavor, bitter without going overboard, easy drinking. Call it a 4.00. Just wish it were a dollar or two cheaper.

Picked up a single. Kinda sweet for my liking and like IPAs to have malt. Candied pineapple and orange peel with the bitterness. Decent, but I'm glad I didn't pick up a full sixer.

Just saw their 6-packs marked down to $6.99...I've had the Amber at the brewery and thought it was a bit better than Wisconsin Amber, but nowhere close to RiverWest Stein.

Must've realized they're not going to take any of New Glarus' business away being at the same price point. Which, duh.

They're too late to the party...craft beer drinkers around Madison already have 2-3 go to favorites, and Wisconsin Brewing hasn't given them a reason to switch. I think they'll sell the brewery within a year, or contract brew other brewers' offerings for Wisconsin.

I don't think Madison was every their target market. They want to distribute on a regional if not national scale and soak up folks who haven't switched over to craft yet, or who recently made the switch.

I don't think they'll sell- they are in it for the long haul. They'll continue expanding distribution and production. They'll take some drinkers away from Leinie's and Capital and possibly even Lakefront, and as they expand they'll target similar breweries in other states. They'll never make it big, but they will make a living.
