So it was like a light switch, weather changed winter, spring, summer and I went stouts, IPAs and now saison, respectively. I'm somewhat new to the saison style. I just picked up a 4-pack of Hennepin, so I'm looking for some recommendations. First, as title says what are some WI distributed saison and second, after trying what is locally available what are some to trade for?

Hinterland makes a pretty solid Saison, also available are the Belgian classics like Fantome and Saison Dupont, and new school American ones like Bam Biere from Jolly Pumpkin, Sofie from Goose Island, and Love Buzz from Anchorage. Hennepin is a pretty good place to start...

I really liked Hinterland's. Milwaukee Brewing's Booyah was ok. Victory Helios I didn't much care for. Various offerings from The Bruery are around and also alright. Starting to see Stillwater in Mke and Madison. Pricey but tasty. Watch for a New Glarus one this summer as well. I'm kinda a Saison nut so I try everything I can get my hands on, and right now I think Hinterland's is the best for the price.

You can also get New Holland Golden Cap as well as North Coast Le Merle statewide. Very different interpretations, but both very nice. Le Merle is year-round.

I'd agree with everything you said. Never had love buzz though.
