Loved Bunny Green Toe. Probably my second favorite new Wisconsin beer for me behind Simcoe Howler. In fact, I think Bunny Green Toe, Fantasy Factory, and fresh Lakefront IPA are the only really good IPA's brewed in Wisconsin.

Do they judge based on bjcp rules? If so no surprise some great beers didn't medal. Some of the absolute best beers I've brewed have done poorly in competition because they didn't match style guidelines. Not sure if they use bjcp though.

How does one get Batshit Crazy? Is this a regular Mobcraft brew or a 1/6 bbl/year deal?

It's a in a bomber all over the shelves in Madison. Probably available in Milwaukee as well. I know Everettes liquor in S. Beloit just got a big shipment of Mobcraft beer this week.

This is not a BJCP a competition, they use the Brewers Association GABF guidelines. There are 90 categories in GABF, 23 in the 2008 BJCP (2014 proposed guidelines will have more). Beers are still judged to style by judges that are Brewers, suppliers, beer writers, educators etc.

Just like a hombrew competition you can't win if you don't enter. Not every brewery enters beers, so a great beer may not have been on the table , but then again it may have.
