Beers are great, but I really don't care for the ambiance/aesthetic of their new taproom. Decorations and lighting are both a bit odd.

Never had any food, so I can't speak to that.

Great beers. Especially their limited release stuff like Night Fury and Furious Ginger. I think the only beer I had that I would call a miss was the gose, but the grapefruit gose was better.

Beers are great. Hoppy stuff and the barrel-aged stuff. I love their Thrash Punk coffee kolsch as well. And Night Fury (the base beer for all the crazy variants) might be better than any of it's barrel-aged versions. Great RIS. But my favorite beer they make is definitely Furious Ginger.

Taproom is... dark, to reiterate what @westlaunboy is saying. Low lighting, black bartop, black floors, black tabletops. It's pretty much a cave, which is kind of odd because it makes it harder to see the amazing blown-glass mugs they have on the wall/ceiling for members of their mug club.

No food on premises except for some bar snacks (popcorn, chips, etc) and then they also have a local BBQ food truck show up on certain days.

The staff are very friendly across the board, I've found.

Big fan of almost all of the beers. My brother in law got a me a mug club membership when he found out I was moving here. Usually a very wide range of people in there and anyone that I've talked to has been quite friendly. Only negative is that sometimes the live music can get pretty loud.

I've been going to the Hat since they were in their old strip mall location. I think they rank up there with Dark Horse and Greenbush. Rez Gets Smashed is my current favorite beer. I like the way they've also brewed a good spectrum of styles. My cousin's wife is a Bud Light drinker, and she likes the Kolsch.

Ryan, the owner is a very humble guy. I kept bugging him to enter the brewery throwdowns at Ashley's Westland, and when they finally entered the contest, they won it all.

Also have to echo the staff is very friendly, and I too think the live music is too loud on Fridays.
