We're going to "Memorial Weekend in Wine Country" later this month and plan to make a stop at Wolves and People for me. W & P and Alesong don't seem to be getting much comment lately. Will be fun to see what's going on.

They've got their anniversary event coming up on 6/3 I believe, no details other than there will be some new beers available - maybe that JK collab. I still go a few times a month when the weather is nice. Beers are still tasty, location is still really nice on a sunny day.

I met and briefly chatted with Jason Sturgill, their designer/illustrator, at a Design Week Portland event a couple weeks ago. Neat guy. He gave me a W&P decal.

    That's all I got.

Just wanted to pop in and say that thier event yesterday was fantastic. Excellent and unique array of beers they were pouring. Very well organized. Extremely laid back atmosphere with almost no lines at all. I liked that all beers were one ticket ($2.50 each with discounts if you bought more than a few) .... this just made everything super simple and seemed fairly reasonable considering the beers being poured. Seems like there are always some $5-$6 half pours at many events these days. Highlights for me we're the EL5 and Zester Queen from W&P and Structures Fuzz. The IPA they had from Cerebral was also tasty. Would have loved to try all the beers they were pouring, but I had to get home eventually.

One thing that I would have personally enjoyed is some music, but I understand that many probably enjoy the peace and quiet, especially in that kind of farmhouse atmosphere. Plus, I hear they have some touchy neighbors so that also may have been part of the reason.

Overall, one of the better beer events I've attended lately. Looking forward to my next visit.

There was music playing but you'd only hear it if you were sitting within 10ft of the tiny speaker they have. Like you mentioned, probably not wanting to provoke the neighbors.

Agreed that it was a well run event - very low key and I tried just about all the guest beers they had. No lines, chill people, unique beers - I could definitely get down with more events like this.

All this talk of hype and whatnot as of late, and I almost forgot about this place.

    How are they doing?

I still go there once a month or so. They're still making solid beer, adding hazy farmhouse IPAs to their wheelhouse recently, which were really good but seemed to fall off a lot quicker than I'd like. I don't think they were really going for the hype, as things haven't changed a whole lot since opening. Definitely recommend grabbing a bottle if you come across one.

I go whenever I'm in the area because it's a nice place and they brew decent beer. I don't go out of my way though. I went to an event they had a few months ago and had a good time.
