Looking for a full Menu (including kids menu), family friendly brew pub or beer-centric restaurant near Canada’s Wonderland. We are not staying in the central metropolitan area of Toronto and would prefer to avoid it all together if possible. Also, any spots near the Toronto zoo, Ripley’s aquarium and African Lion Safari. Thanks!

It’s outside of my usual hunting grounds. I’ll ask a few people and report back. There is probably something decent near Canada’s Wonderland. The Zoo might be more difficult.

I asked on a local forum and this was suggested for Wonderland:

There is a small kids menu and the recent check ins from untapped suggest a pretty decent craft tap list.

Near the zoo, not too sure. The Jack Astor’s in Pickering claims the best craft selection in the region. It isn’t too far from the zoo, but is a chain tap and grill with the same food as all the other tap and grills in the world. You might have better luck with something where the beer list isn’t all that special nearer the zoo.

Thanks! Ended up scrapping the zoo idea today because of the inclement weather and hit up the science museum instead. Went to The Granite Brewpub afterwards and was very happy to have some REALLY well done traditional British ales. Three beers on cask including a bitter and a delicious lamb burger. Couldn’t be happier!

Ah! The Granite. I live around the corner. When it is nice out they have a back grasses courtyard and patio that is awesome. Cheers!

Lake Wilcox and Magnotta Brewing are both close to Wonderland. Magnotta also has wine and spirits.
