Massive bummer. Hopefully, we can get a rescheduled Woodshop 13 in the not-too-distant future. Raise a glass to the effort @cquiroga has put forth - as disappointed we are, I can only imagine how magnified it is for him.

Safe to assume Wild Barrel is living up to their reputation?

Low blow, man. The only person likely as bummed as I am about this is my good friend Bill Sysak from Wild Barrel. He has been instrumental in planning this event, yes, but he also has been instrumental in my beer life and you could even say my overall life for the past nearly 20 years. He has tried to do his best with all of this, and without Dr. Bill, frankly, there would be no Woodshop.

Thank you, everyone, for your compassion and understanding. Here's hoping we can come up with a suitable replacement venue as soon as possible. And if anyone has not gotten the email about Woodshop 13 postponement, please check the email that is linked to your PayPal payment. I know those are not always the primary email addresses that people use for their day-to-day correspondence (or that I have for my Woodshop email list), but those are the ones I used to send out announcements about pending refunds.

I apologize for the delays in sending refunds. I tried like hell to find any viable option to salvage the core of the event experience, possibly at a replacement venue, and with minimal changes to the date/time/event specifics. In what feels like an almost constant effort over the past days, I have worked on multiple fronts, trying to understand ABC's concerns and what (if anything) could be done about them, either at Wild Barrel or at another venue like we have done in the past. But we simply ran out of time.

I am so, so sorry about any complications and disappointment I have created for anyone. Please do not lose faith in me or in the best intentions of all of us.

For those of us unaware of Wild Barrel’s “reputation”, what have they done to warrant your post?

Not really sure what that thread has to do with this situation.
It's another chance to complain again about WB and their barrel club. That thread and the members have legitimate complaints about WB and the entire fiasco that it has become. For this thread not sure if it is relevant. Chris' above post should shut down any new complaints about the club or force people there to voice their gripes in that forum, but not sure that will happen. It sounds like the problem was ABC and not anything WB did. Maybe people can complain about 3 Chiefs and Horus here too.

This is purely the ABC's fault and their interpretation of the law(s).

I don’t understand, why wouldn’t the ABC want an event at a brewery in which people are overserving themselves by a country mile and throwing up on the floor? They need to loosen up.

@cquiroga On a more positive/hopeful note, any chance you could share with us the kegs you had planned/created for the event, or will those be possibly saved for the re-scheduled event?

Thanks for your hard work, sorry that ABC sucks.
