I just went into the cellar to move some stuff up to my drinking queue (still the cellar but much further up the stairs). Discovered I had decided to just let it go and not throw the bottles of barrelaged framinghammer At the heads of those who had me do last year's release line at julio's then never paid me back. Anyone near worcester want to do a bottle share?

If there's enough interest,I'll let peeps choose between my cellared cantillion, hill farmstead, and russian river. Supporting a household off a $10/hour job so I'd just assume spread the ooh neato beers between multiple sessions.

Well, my place is probably out until yard-friendly weather. Indoors gets complicated. Wife has to study for school and I've got a very energetic little beer thief strolling around. BYOB places hold appeal as handicap access is all but guaranteed.

I'd be interested (coming down from Acton). Keep us posted!

I am looking into BYOB options. So far it's looking like Scales, West Side BBQ, or Lucky's.

I'd be in for something like this -- not sure where we could meet up but would def. be interested. Will look around to see where we could go.

pctblen I m running into with places is a lot of.the byob options are very tiny. scales is sizeable and pretty agreeable to smoothing together tables. plus it's out of the city enough to have its own lot.

Are you referring to the place in Millbury?

What about 'Corner Grille' in Worcester? I've never been but they seem to be BYOB. And sounds like they have good pizza to boot, but might be too small?

Corner grill is quite small. 5 or 6 tables. Scales Is good size and not to from the city. Close to 290/146 and even the mass pike to those traveling. Might work out well.

I'll say I'm tentatively in as well. I'd love to cast a vote for BT's as I'm about a mile from there, but I realize that's probably not feasable if everyone's in worcester

BT'Sshould probably get filed under places to go once we're past the whole not knowing anyone.whatsoever hurdle. carpooling resolves a lot of distance concerns. however I don't want someone I'm riding with to tell the misses he's going across the street from olde sturbridge village, have her mandate transporting the family for attainment, THEN discover I am said spouse's definition of a bad influence. scalesscalescalescansceness .yesyey

Not saying just saying... I met a guy in a liquor store in Houston TX a week later I got into a car with him his friend and his friends wife to drive to Jester King in Austin 3 hours away... I'm alive and have 3 best friends because of it... Since I moved back up here I'm even their trustee for Night Shift

Wow. my smartphone hates this site.

anyhow, yes Scales is on river st in Millbury.for distance reference it's maybe five minutes from the shoppes at blackstone.

Food is your typical we fry everything fare. the pizza was decent but I seem to recall they really crammed.the oven in there. it was one pie at a time and a fairly low traffic night it took 45+.

We would just want to time around any special events they or the church in their lot may run. the latter isn't a big deal but i seem to recall that there is a lot of lot rage amongst the local churches/businesses if you need to park elsewhere. not the huge deal in the world as the town has a municipal lot a few blocks away but it doesn't seem like mjxh is marked there.

I've had the extreme ends of the road tripping with strangers experiences. some are close friends. Others as well lol what other kind of told me that he couldn't cross state lines for legal reasons sometime after we had driven from Massachusetts through what I went to Connecticut to New York border. he then proceeded to stalk me for the better part of two years because I have a lot of female friends any cut trying to use me as an in.

Alright I think that's enough for the positives for scales so I'll try and see if they got the fence calendar speak to a couple people there. the usual background checks all that and I will figure out if there's a better than others from their perspective you know so we don't run in there will be a RN find out that its family pasta night or some such.

yeah from past experience doing shares at restauraunts in TX we followed these rules

    1. Always schedule in advance and let them know what you're doing
    2. Ask for buckets of ice to put the beers on
    3. By food and/or drink at the establishment
    4. TIP WELL!!!
    5. Bring things outside of the direct distro of the area that you're hosting the share at unless specially requested or doing a vert/horizontal
    6. TIP WELL!!!

Never have done a bottle share at a house or restaurant. Dicers, all those tips seem well needed especially the tip well one. They are doing us a favor by letting us bring all these goodies in least we can do is buy food and tip well. Im in for Scales.
