With Armsby, Brew City, and Dive Bar all in Worcester and all being above average beer bars How come there is not a high quality bottle shop. Austins on gold star is ok got MBC Lunch on time and KJ Barrow is so dead I always feel like the guy thinks I stealing something since u gotta stand a look and hope something good appears. Is Julio's really it for the general area. Shrewsbury Austins can be ok too. Am i missing a shop somewhere?
Haven't lived in Worcester since I've been 18 so I'm not gonna be much help, but Julio's and Wegmans are pretty good options to have a short drive away.
Mass Liquors (on Chandler St) has a good selection, better than both Austins IMHO. State Liquors is basically useless.
As noted above, Mass Liquors is your best bet. Great selection. State Liquors on Park Ave is very hit or miss, Ive seen Bourbon County there a few times. KJ Barron has a good Belgian selection now and some random locals you dont see else where. Austins is alright, I only frequent the one on Rt. 9 however. With Julios only being a ~20 minute drive , its your reason for not many stores trying to sell a ton of craft in Worcester Im guessing.
