The group of guys I normally do shares with fell apart due to a couple guys moving away and was wondering if there are other groups holding shares in the area? If not, I'd be interested in gauging interest of other BAs in the area for a new group
There was a thread a few months ago about a Metrowest bottleshare, but then a bunch of people from north shore started chiming in - the whole thing sort of fell apart after a while. I would definitely be interested in one somewhere along the way. I'd even volunteer to host, but have a 5-month old baby, so anything like that is out of the picture for at least till next summer.
I tried setting one up in Metrowest but couldnt find a place to host or anything BYOB. Worcester use to have the mexican restaurant on highland st that was byob, not sure if the thai place there is the same. Heard of a place in Ashland that was also byob. I have plenty of big bottles I much rather have other people enjoy verus taking them all to my face. ...Thai Time on Highland is still in fact BYOB. This may be a good central place to set something up. Might want to check if their ok with 5-7 guys cracking a good amount of bottles first however
Again, if anyone is interested in doing something in billerica I could host. Its out of the way for most but the offer is out there.
I would potentially be interested. Don't have the space to host currently (but I will be moving in a few months so who knows then).
Unfortunately, I can't host either but I will look into the local (Worcester) BYOB restaurants this week
I am planning to host a bottle share on the 5th of December in Hopkinton. It will be a BA Stout/Stout share with already an amazing line up. Looking for 3 more people. If you are interested and have any questions about the bottles being share and ect, pm me. Sorry for the hijack @eb1610, but you're are more than invited.
I remember doing a bottle share at Scales Seafood in Millbury a couple years ago. I too would be interested (coming from Hudson). Also in the new parent crowd (6 month old), I hope to be in a position to host next spring.
Someone mentioned Thai Time in Worcester. It is, indeed, BYO as is Le Mirage, Corner Grille, and a few others in Worcester. I'd be on board with a share at a local restaurant.
Those were on my list as well. However, Le Mirage just closed and Corner grille is a little too small. Too bad its already chilly because Westside BBQ would be perfect. Looking at Thai Time and Sol of Mexico
Once I'm back from vacation I'll reach out to anyone that had an interest in a Worcester share. Lets see where this goes
