first came the beer... then the glassware... now the work shirts here's the start of something I'm sure will get out of hand soon
I have a pretty sweet one from Greenport Harbor Brewing Company - instead of a silkscreened logo on the back it is a giant patch.
I have the black version of the Founders work shirt, it's quite nice. Thinking about springing for the Stone one next.
they are generally at most about $10 above the normal price of a work shirt by the brands they use... still somewhat pricey but the markup isn't horrible considering what most other people do to shirt prices just by spalshing their logos on them
Yeah I mean, they're not usually overcharging. The prices of a typical Dickies workshirt, coupled with two prints usually, and any number of colors... it gets pricey. My wife does this stuff for a living, so I know how much they should cost.
I've got a Dark Horse one with a patch that says "Timmy" (My name is Tim). Haven't worn it yet, really don't know when I would.
I have 2, Big Al and Ninkasi, but they seem a bit too "hipster-ish" to me, so I don't wear 'em that often.
I have a bunch of brewery shirts but have yet to pull the trigger on a work shirt. Maybe my next purchase, we'll see.
Pj from Hunterdon had an awesome left hand shirt on the other day but i'm sure he gets em cheap since he only has to wear a boys medium. Kidding. PJ is still the best hunterdon salesman out there. I agree with the hipster quote above. I'm cool with my good old fashioned t-shirts or hats. Though I recently received a way too small brooklyn track jacket from my rep that hopefully I can exchange for my size because it's pretty awesome. My dad mostly gets any hats I get though. From what I can remember I got him a smuttynose soft like cargo material hat, a blue point trucker hat, and i think an epic(UT) hat too. I want me a DFH hat but I only wear hats when I golf.
I've got one from Surly. I pretty much stopped wearing it because I've had people tell me stuff like "oh you're lucky, you work at Surly." Then they look at me like I'm a moron when I tell them "No, I don't, I just like their beer."
Love them! I wear work shirts everyday for work and to have one from a brewery is awesome. My favorite is a dark horse shirt, light blue and worn by the employees and sold out of there store. Not overly expensive but super comfortable. ISO: Surly workshirt. For trade normal workshirt!
