Very pleased to have picked up a 6-pack of Workhorse bottled on Sept. 12. Good, fresh stuff.

Price? I saw cases of these @ Chuck's but was in a hurry, it wasn't marked, and I already had more beer than I have any business buying.

They're also at Whole Foods RSQ along with Free Range Red, but I didn't see a price.

$8.99 at New Seasons in the PDX area. And worth noting that I rec'd a shitty FB admonition from the Laurelwood media maven, Micah Bell, for noting the Redhook/CBA lineage of this bottled beer. Like it was a secret of some sort. I bought it anyway. I don't expect to support this brewery much more after that.

It was 6.99 or 6.59 at Total Wine. I picked up a sixer. I really didn't taste the contract brewing. Great deal I would say.

$7.99 at Whole Foods. Thought about picking one up, but I've already got a ton of beer at home that I should probably drink.

At those prices I can stomach ramnuts feeling insulted.

It was $7.99. I didn't know about (or remember if I once knew) the CBA relationship. Drat.

Sorry to hear that Ramnuts! I am Vasili, Brewmaster at Laurelwood. I don't know what this issue was about, but hopefully the beer speaks louder. Be a shame, if you like the beer, to have a marketing guy be the reason you turn away from the brand. Thanks either way for the support this last time, if not in the future. Cheers,

I am curious what you guys think of what is in the bottle. We at the brewery were really happy with what Woodinville (location of Red Hook) was producing. A bunch of nice folks too. Thanks,

I'd be excited about this if it would make it to AK...

Sorry for the tardy reply, Vasili. I have been out of town and offline the past few days...
Appreciate your note here and I did enjoy the 12 oz. bottles of WH, though it was not *exactly* the way I remember. I am a huge fan, however of Imperial WH and the fresh hop iteration that I enjoyed at the brewpub. Keep up the good work!

Not worried about the Redhook thing, actually think Redhook make good but boring beer correct to style

Red Hook doesn't get enough credit IMO. They're taken for granted because they've grown large and didn't do a good job of cultivating a cult following the way Deschutes has done for example with their limited releases.
But they put out a consistently fine product and even manage to win awards at National beer festivals.
    Go figure.
PS Their tour sucks though. All they do is talk and throw a lot of tastings at you but stop before they get to the good stuff.

I think it might also be the fact the A-B owns approx. 32% of the CBA in addition to their distribution agreement and people don't dig that.

I couldn't be happier. I used to buy workhorse occasionally for ~$4.50 a bomber, now its $8 for a 6 pack?? That almost reduces the price by half and it tastes just as good IMO. Can't think of too many other deals this good for the quality of the IPA (besides sucks).

Drinking one right now, and it's every bit as tasty as the 22's, plus it's clearly bottle dated and a better value. Wish a Bend brewery could match the quality aroma, taste , and price in the 6pk format. Inversion is good, but not this good. Worthy is a few bucks more and doesn't match on aroma or taste (clearly Chad is capable of making a beer this good, since he did). Hoping Boneyard will come through, but I don't really think they'll hit the price point. Maybe the CBA is not all bad if they can deliver this caliber of beer at this price.

Thanks for the feed back guys. I know if quality goes down, you'll be the first to let me know. In order to work with hops available, we had to make some major changes to citra/galaxy/eldorado from simcoe/amarillo. Personally, I think it was a change for the way better! but it was a major change none the less, so I am glad to hear this is received well also. Thanks for drinking, cheers,
