World Cup Beers

A good idea and it gives us the chance to make a list - and we all love a good/bad/pointless list right? I got a bit bored so someone else copy and past and fill in the substantial gaps

In alphabetical order

Algeria - Something by Algad
Argentina - Antares Imperial Stout
Australia - Coopers/little creatures etc
Belgium - Many but pick something that has a lot of potential but is possible still a couple of years too young
Bosnia-Herzegovina - Something by Oldbridz or Sarajevsko
Brazil -
Cameroon
Chile
Colombia
Costa Rica
Croatia
Ecuador
England - Many to choose from but pick something underwhelming with a bitter finish.
France -
Germany - Something well put together and very, very effective
Ghana
Greece
Honduras
Iran
Italy - Many but try and get one a bit past its best
Ivory Coast
Japan
Mexico
Netherlands - Many to choose from but pick one with all the flavours fighting each other
Nigeria - Nigerian Guinness

U.S. - Voodoo Doughnut Maple Bacon Ale . Because 'murica fuck yeah!

I would say for the US, Budweiser is the obvious choice. It's the King of beers and we're the kings of the world.

 

Live in a city with a shit-ton of its respective immigrants and their world becomes yours if you know where to shop.

 

The same applies to US beers, even craft. If I want something decent, I'll research a bit first. Otherwise, everyone has Blue Moon and ShockTop--they must be good if they are so "popular", right? Just sayin'...

 

Cool idea but what a shame South Korea made the World Cup. Just open your gullet and hold your nostrils.

 

Croatian Beer: Karlovacko and Ozujsko

Unless you live in an area where there are a lot of Croatians (Michigan, Chicago, Toronto, Australia) you'll have trouble finding these.

 

As a Spurs fan, I had to laugh. And then cry.

 

From Chile, best left to right. None that great. This is not all they had, just some I tried.

 

Someone please make a table/bracket with all those beers when it's complete.

 

Sorry Keo is from Cyprus not Greece! Mythos is the go to Greek lager. And it's similarly ok.

 

I may not understand Soccer (football) humor, but at least I recognize it when I see it. Nicely done!
