Completely agree that the most recent cans tasted better than the draft, and I had them a few days apart.

KTB, Be Hoppy goes quick. Actually really quick this batch. But i have never heard or seen of it being withheld from normal stock on the floor. Maybe I benefit from working in Worcester area and see it frequently up and down 495 corridor.

    Define most places.

100% of the places near me that carry it, put it out in the cooler/walk in's like all of the other beer.
Not one place in western mass that I know of keeps it behind the counter

I feel like Be Hoppy on tap is totally dependant on the establishment. How clean the tap lines are and how old is keg. This last batch of cans stands alone in freshness seeing as it was canned 7/30, still less than 2 weeks out!

I have heard in the past that State Liquor Exchange right on Park gets cans. It's pretty right across street from WT. Also. I have seen them in Austin's Shrewsbury not sure about Worcester location. Then KJ Barron is always a sleeper spot, generally always have a few interesting finds. I have no knowledge of BH being at any of theses places, but they are places I would try. If you are willing to call and or drive around.

I follow Wormtown on Facebook and they are pretty good with letting everyone know about canning days. Gives you a day or two heads up to look around.

It is always behind the counter (actually in the back) at Social Wines in South Boston because they apparently only end up getting a case or so. They also were holding it for people at Blanchards. I don't know how it works outside Boston but it's nearly impossible to get ahold of more than a 4 pack in the city unless there is some magical location I don't know about. When the cans first showed up I saw stacked cases of it at Blanchards in West Roxbury so either production dropped off or the popularity went way up (probably both). Either way not worth the hassle of tracking it down when there are usually 10 bottles of Hopulence on the shelves that nobody is touching. It is legitmately a great beer that I would buy by the case if I saw it but my patience for spending time to get a 4 pack of anything is very low.

Never behind the counter in Franklin, but it goes quickly, except at one store with few craft shoppers. Lunch is behind the counter, but I'm a regular enough customer at 2-3 shops that I get plenty. Honestly, at $8 500ML, it can't be an every day beer anyway.

Union Street Liquors in Franklin had several four packs left as of Saturday. They expanded their beer area several months ago, but don't get much traffic from craft beer fans. Not a huge selection, but some decent stuff.

I would imagine availability goes up once brewhouse is done. Hopefully quality does not suffer. The Park St location is obviously not ideal for canning. Probably my guess to why they don't pump out large numbers of cases.

The Be Hoppy on draft at High Horse right now. It was kegged on 8/4/14. Tastes amazing. I have yet to find any cans out here, but I tend to stick to table and vine, spirit haus and a few others. Guess I have to keep looking...

They come and go real quickly at spirit haus. I was lucky enough to grab a 4 pack.

Supposedly you now have to ask at Table and Vine. Oh well, check State Street in Northampton, Coopers Corner in Florence and River Valley Coop after canning. Just leave a few 4 packs for me!

Man. Just had some today and after 2 weeks of canning, this batch came out like a perfect 5. I salute you, Wormtown.

I haven't seen it in cans around where I live in a while. It's fairly easy to find on-tap (I can think of two or three places relatively nearby) but cans is more difficult.

My friends wife surprised me with a 6 pack last weekend. Still tasting great.

Had to believe that I passed this stuff up on Tap numerous times because I thought the name was goofy. I now know better.

You mean a 4 pack, right?

Nope, 6 loose cans, even better than a 4 pack.
