Another delicious beer that I (and I suspect many others) passed on in bombers, but bought frequently in cans. Delicious stuff.

You guys are probably right--BBC is a pretty apples-to-oranges comparison.

Regarding Flower Child though, that's another one that saw a pretty significant price cut going from bombers to cans, also something like 50%. I guess the take-home message is that bombers suck from a cost and convenience standpoint, and that when you move to a convenient package a cut the price sales go through the roof. Who knew!?

I say this so much my friends groan whenever I bring it up. But it's undeniably true and for whatever reason we all tend to turn a (mostly) blind eye to what would otherwise be very high prices when we see a beer in a large format. Would Be Hoppy have the same buzz if those 4 packs cost $25? Doubt it.

Canned Julius. I will believe when I see it. For now Be Hoppy and Whirlpool are the 2 top canned beers in MA!

Yeah I agree with that too. Whirlpool is good, but not that good.

    Absofrigganlutely...and good for them.

Why not mirror a super hyped up beer that doesn't stay on shelves with a limited distribution, they have the same style that has had a bunch of local hype from draft/bomber sales with limited distro, it isn't rocket science.

I get it $2.50 cheaper than HT. But yeah, I think the 16oz four pack was intentional.

IPAs and DIPAs should only come in 16oz cans.

@ChrisChagnon unless the beer was distributed yesterday or today, which I don't believe since the canning and distro happened last week, pretty much nowhere will have this beer.

Edit: Yankee does rule though- I've had some good luck with 3F and the like there.

I was at Yankee in Sturbridge last Friday and asked about Be Hoppy and was given a quick no Wormtown by the employee I spoke with. I don't know if that means they never stock Wormtown or if they just didn't have it at the moment though since I didn't follow up.

They stock Wormtown, though I've been hard pressed lately to any in their cooler....I'm not even talking cans. Their Wormtown bomber selection is usually pretty sparse whenever I go. I think the only time I found Be Hoppy in cans there was when Wormtown began canning it.
