Apologies if this has been addressed before, but I'm going to be in Worcester tomorrow late morning/early afternoon and thought I'd swing by Wormtown if I had time. I went a year ago when they were doing the test run of Be Hoppy cans (those were the days...) and seem to remember that the restaurant next door fills growlers? There doesn't seem to be any info on their website, so any intel from folks who've gone recently is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Cool. Any sense of what's on growler now? I looked at the Peppercorn's website but it just lists all the beers.

Last I checked. They had a Blueberry, Kola Nut Brown, Blonde Cougar, Rye Pale Ale, and a Wine Barrel Aged Red. I also heard they may have dry hopped 7 Hills and I though I heard BA Kola But Brown. Then they may have Hopulence bottles left over

I am curious to know if they pre fill growlers. Granted the last time I picked up a growler was about 2yrs ago. It was Be Hoppier and I asked for it, the guy walked out to brewery and 2min later he had my growler. I thought it was a little fast for a fill. I am not too much of stickler but I would prefer my growler filled while I wait. I may be wrong so take what I say with a grain of salt

Are they still doing growler fills while they transition out of their current place and in to their new location?

Starting yesterday we will be filling only 50 growlers every Friday and that is all for the week. Growlers this week include Pale for ALS, Amarillo dry hopped 7 Hills, and barrel aged Kola Nut Brown.

this was on there facebook page on 9/20

Wormtown BreweryWe just don't have enough beer to meet demand. By setting a # for each week we can reserve that amount and not sell it in keg to a distributor.

    Long time lurker here...

They pre-fill growlers - no growler fills there per se. The only way to know what's available in growlers most of the time, is to call Peppercorns. Most of their available growlers are their seasonal or one-offs.

They currently have BA Kola Nut and Amarillo dry hopped as noted above as interesting offerings. Their Pale for ALS is excellent.

Just difficult to easily access what's available. Hopefully they can keep us updated as they move into their new digs.

If you're swapping out an old growler (either 32 or 64 oz doesn't matter) there's a discount. Growlers can be on special for aroun $7 or $8 and go up to $14 (with a trade in) for their barrel-aged stuff. New growler purchase is an additional $4 or so from recollection. Only have to do that once! Been a while.

Yet another reason I'd love it if they updated their site or facebook or twitter with their growlers...pricing would be nice. Great beers though...

The new location will be a 100% improvement over the Park St location. I've worked in Worcester for 8 years and have visited the current location maybe 6 times. Just too much of a hassle to get to that side of the city. No tap room and no Be Hoppy cans no thanks. Hurry up and get that Shrewsbury St location finished!

Saw on their facebook page they canned a batch of Be Hoppy - to be with distributors by today. Said they use Burke Beverage as a distributor in Boston. Anyone have a list of stores that Burke distributes to?
