Worst beer names, ever.

Doesn't strike me as a bad name:

Adolphus Busch thought it was good enough to name his eventual flagship beer, and lots of US brewers, like Frederick Miller, followed suit (well, until numerous lawsuits...).

The label and name was straight up wack! How they gonna do that to pac?!

 

Hair of the Dog Adam from the Wood confuses a lot of people. is that a beer or a person or a pet? which part is the beer name? which part is the brewery name? what does this mean?

hair of the dog is actually a great name for a brewery if you know what the expression means. but the first time you see this brewery/ beer name combination it is very confusing for the consumer.

 

Oddside Ales Bean Flicker. Hard pass.

I don't mind names that are a little suggestive necessarily if it's done subtly with some thought behind it. We are all adults after all. That's just embarrassing though. There's nothing clever or imaginative about that whatsoever.

Oldsters may remember the Saturday Night Live skit where Belushi and Ackrod were marketing guys trying to come up with gross product names to grab public attention. Dog Vomit Strawberry Jam was the winner.

I find that very amusing for some reason. It's something they had to come up with while sitting at the bar just before someone called a cab.

 

It seems rather cheeky. Were I of Latin American descent I don't think I would find it funny.

 

Yeah I suppose. That doesn't strike me as being mean spirited in any way though. I think it would be received with a roll of the eyes for being stupid rather than offensive.

 

Just goes to show the ultimate subjectivity of everything...I happen to think Dirt Wolf is a pretty cool name, for a pretty great beer.
