Witbier - Shock Top Belgian White
Lambic - Samuel Adams Cranberry Lambic
    Bock - Shiner Bock
    Hefeweizen - Shiner Hefeweizen
American Pale Lager - Shiner Blonde (how the hell is it possible for Shiner to be so bad?)

I can't say I'm surprised with the Shock Top and Blue Moon answers here, but just about anything labeled a "Double Wit" is far worse to me than either of these. Why would you want to make a wit boozy and sweet?

Agreed. It would be a stretch to even call it a pale ale.

Blue Moon at least tastes natural. Kronenbourg Blanc is a far worse macro-witbier. I mean, it lists "flavour" as an ingredient, and it tastes somewhat like Maynards Fuzzy Peaches. Now I like fuzzy peaches, but a good witbier shouldn't taste like gummy candy from the bulk store. It also contains glucose, which I guess is better than corn syrup, but the beer isn't overly attenuated and tastes oddly sweet. It's like someone took witbier and made it for the alcopop market, whereas Blue Moon at least tastes like it's made for people who normally drink beer. Even if that beer they usually drink is Coors Light.

    New Glarus Thumbprint Cherry "Stout"

Not because it tastes bad...it's actually fantastic....once you come to terms with it being a cherry brown ale.

    Storm King and Miller? Really?

Miller isn't amazing, but there's no way beers like Natty could possibly be considered better, and Storm King? really? there are plenty of worse stouts than that. For example, the Stone Belgo Anise Russian Imperial Stout.

You beat me to it. One of the absolute worst beers I have ever had. A sticky sweet mess.

IMO; Old Brown Dog Ale by Smuttynose, worst Brown Ale I've had yet and unfortunately the only Smutty I've had to date, a drain pour will do that:slight_frown:...Great Lakes Burning River has an appropriate name for an American Pale Ale, the bitter aftertaste is such that I never seem to finish one, be it bottle or draft. Blue Moon has completely turned me off to witbier as a style, I can't stand the smell or taste of this abomination...I find Great Lakes Holy Moses and even Hoegaarden to be much better examples. Just once I wanna pull someone's orange from the glass and toss it on the floor, there drink it now, I double dog dare ya'...seriously these threads are just a bitch-fest & I'm sure we've all had plenty of underwhelming stuff to throw under the bus but that's what the reviewing is for, no?

To the OP. Forget Natty's stuff, worth the drive to WS and Foothills for their Baby Jade IPA/Jade IPA/Seeing Double, Bourbon Aged Porter etc. Foothills blows away any other brew house in the area, and they have growlers to go. Personally Natty's stuff is very average.

Lets see; so far we've had Founder's Double Trouble, Victory Storm King, and Sierra Nevada Pale Ale mentioned. Wow. There is a difference between not appreciating a certain beer and it being a truly bad beer. For instance, Hopfish is not my favorite. Is it a truly bad beer? It's probably average. On the other hand,Sam Adams Octoberfest is pretty much universally recognized as being swill.
