Worst beer you've tried

Hmm, for "craft" beer, barring any gimmick beers (heat, massive ABV, oddball herbs/spices, etc) it's a 3 way tie:

21st Amendment Sneak Attack Saison - Brewed with cardamom, the cardamom overpowers and is very medicinal combined with the saison yeast. Throw on the top a funky band-aid note and an astringent finish, and you've got one disgusting abomination. Seems like quite a few people enjoyed this one, but I thought it was appalling. I even made the mistake of buying a sixer; it was a challenge trying to choke those down, mostly as self inflicted punishment for buying 6 instead off a single first. Had to pour the last few.

Big Sky Pygmy Owl Itty Bitty IPA - Everything that could possibly go wrong with a "session IPA" did. Super watery body, harsh carbonation, stinky and skunky shoe-rubber/onion hops, feint grainy malts... Yes, this was an epic fail. Pond water.

Sam Adams Cherry Wheat - Cherry cough medicine spiked with a little grain. 'Nuff said. I don't know how some folks can enjoy that stuff.

 

My least favorite that I've had probably has to be Rogue Voodoo Doughnut Chocolate, Banana & Peanut Butter. I ended up drinking it, well most of it anyway, but it was not very good.... like at all.

Sounds awesome on paper, but pulling off the flavors of everything together definitely is a tough challenge. I'm glad that they "tried" to make it work, however. (Did they really try though ?)

Sam Adams Chocolate Bock almost made me boot on New Years. Doesn't mix well with cheetos...

 

Shock Top Rasberry Wheat. I would imagine that drinking some kind of Victoria's Secret fruity body spray would taste like this.
Last year my friend brought some over. Luckily, he also brought some Wild Turkey too and totally redeemed himself.

Stone cali Belgique. 6 months expired.

 

Sadly I tried that back in '06. Terrible. I'm very thankful they don't make it any more.

 

Cigar City Black Ash. Someone picked up 300 cigarettes butts off the freeway and threw them in a barrel with stout.

 

I honestly can't remember the brewery, but I tried a smoked beer at a brew fest, and nearly vomited. It tasted like pure liquid smoke. I like some smoked beers, but this didn't even taste like a beer.

 

I usually like Left Hand Brewing but Good Juju was just awful.

 

Modelo Especial Chelada is the worst beer I’ve ever had. It came in a beer club case and it was so atrocious that I drained poured it (mind you, I think drain pouring is a mortal sin).

I with the OP that Labatt Bourbon Barrel Ale is garbage. I also thought that it had promised based on the name alone. Out of 924 beers rated, I have it at #920.

 

Maybe I am in the minority, but I can't stand it.
Although I remembered tha the one that I think is worse is 21st Amendment Hell of high Water Watermelon Wheat beer

 

Either prism's 90s splash back, or Philadelphia's harvest from the hood...*shudders*

Had 90s sb at prism...horrible, and got harvest in a mix
Six in the fall I think, could not finish it.

 

Shiner's Birthday Chocolate Stout is pretty awful too. Tastes like an artificial chocolate ashtray.

Mikkeller's Ultramate 1000 is one of the worst beers I've ever, ever tasted.

 

I like most of the Southern Tier beers I've tried but 2XMas was not good. It smelt like pickled ginger and tasted like what a lemon cleaning product would probably taste like. Not for me.
