I do recall the days of popping a King Sue bomber and the smell being like the old cartoons where they caught the smell of a freshly baked pie and had this sort of euphoria floating towards the smell! (except it was floral, resinous, fruity hop smell) The best part of today's beer climate is there are never a shortage of good beers, even if old favorites have fallen off.

    Cheers!

See for me I thought the exact opposite. M43 to me had absolutely no bitterness to it and the finish was very boring for lack of a better word. It definitely had that nice soft "pillowy" mouth feel though. I did enjoy that. Maybe this is me being a biased Iowan, but never would I choose ZD over Sue. That's alright though, taste is subjective and luckily in this day and age, there are plenty of different beers to go around!

Agree 100%. And there's also so many old favorites to rediscover as I have been trying to do lately. A trip to the west coast and my first taste of fresh Block 15 last summer hit the reset button for me on IPAs and I've been re-clocking my back catalog a bit. Like you said, there's never a lack of novelty in this world!

That's the beauty of beer. While our palates disagree, neither are wrong! Cheers!
