KY doesn't do everything well, but Lexington has alcohol pretty well figured out-- All things bourbon and no shortage of Bells, Founders, Three Floyds, North Coast, Deschutes, etc.

I fully agree! MS is a deadzone within a wasteland and that might be an understatement.
I travel a lot for work and currently I'm Jackson. I spoke with an owner of a wine and liquor store and he explained the antiquated laws; only recently opening the door to brewpubs.
    any places you recommend?

This. My wife works for a distributor, and we were "in the money" in Michigan, but its all macro brews here in Shreveport. I wish there was a stat that showed the amount of beer consumed vs the variety. Louisiana drinks the crap out of beer, but the consumers are perfectly fine with macro brews. Even "specialty" shops here have the same or less variety than Mejier's grocery section in Michigan.

I didn't look to see if this was posted, but I've had beer from Uinta that was beyond 4% abv. Is this a law that applies for only beer being shipped IN?

New Hampshire. If it wasn't for the close proximity to ME, VT, and MA we'd basically be a desert island of OK beer.

Had no idea Lagunitas was in Kansas. I live in Pittsburg and have never seen it, but I can get it right across the state line in Joplin, MO. That and many others.

I speak from experience. West Virginia is a desolate craft beer wasteland

Yeah, larger TX metro areas get pretty sweet distribution. TX south and west of San Antonio is pretty crappy though.

Not as bad as Arkansas, though. That's where I'm from, and their distribution and beer laws are super lame.

Getting better in the more urban areas. Tons of money coming into NW AR between all the Walmart stock winners & spin offs & folks moving in from outta state, kind of reminds me of western NC about 25 years ago, to include the 6 or so brewers that have popped up in the last 2 years...

We get tons of killer Sam Adams Beer and bud lite.... Other than that New Hampshire is pretty bad. Have to drive to VT or MA to find any beer stores that get anything notable.

There are plenty that will ship to PA. I place a decent order once a year or so from a place in CA.

There is no limit to the abv a brewery or bar can serve in Utah. It just has to be in a bottle of can.

I've looked at a few, and none will. It's illegal to as far as I know. Obviously that won't stop everyone.
