Bar. Super rare. I don't enjoy drinking the same thing over and over at home.

I've been in the OPs proposed situation and have chosen to stay home at times and enjoy the super rare beer at times. Just a side note...the super rare beer is actually good? Many are just rare and not necessarily worth fighting for. As far as treehouse distro like Sam Adams? I could survive, but make it Other Half or Trillium!

Well being as I waited in line for PtY on Saturday with a group of friends for my three 10oz pours, we see where I'm at on this list. I also enjoy quite feet up time at home, but I'll always choose a good time with the fellas and some rare beer. Cheers

70% @ home. Where I've shopped and found something really want to sit down and analyze/enjoy.
And where I can have more than one. I do enjoy going out for tastings and to breweries - very importantly to me- as long as I have a designated driver or non drinker.

I'd go out for the 10 oz pour then bring my friends home for more beer!

I could go either way on the OP question depending on the day, but could go no way with @WesMantooth's offerings.

Would you rather have a constant supply of your never-before had whale (might be redundant) IPA that is never within 4 months of being fresh (and never get a chance to try it fresh), or have access to one and only one fresh one ever?

If you choose the former, how about if I up the deal to one per year and lower the freshness to 75 days?

I think I'd have to go former originally, but maybe go fresh once a year if that was available.

I guess I gotta take the Triple Bocks- the default punishment for not being able to even physically contemplate a keg stand of any type. Is there a sitting version?

At home, provided I'm not alone, hearing about those 25+ minute Tree House lines at EBF for 2oz of beer really made question always riding the hype train.

Drinking alone is very underrated. There was actually a 25 minute line for 2 freaking ounces? People are sheep.

I don't go out much, and there isn't much in the way of rare beers that floats thru here, and I can drink great beers here anytime.

This is a proper "Would you rather?" - not what the OP proposed. Supposed to be difficult choices. Nicely done.

It would depend on the "super rare" beer for me. Many super rare beers are so called "sours" and I don't enjoy them.

Id choose the Creme Brulee if someone could hold my fat self up haha. Ive heard about the heinous triple bock and i feel i would heave just smelling it.

What's if it's the 2008 Creme Brulee I have sitting in my basement? The horror inside that bottle might be bordering on Triple Bock territory.

Would you rather drink a bottle of Stone Punishment or a bottle of infected Bourbon County Coffee? :slight_frown:
