Curious how everybody treats the cans.

I take pretty good care of my bottles, either utilizing shippers or wrapping the shit out of them with bubble wrap.

Either way the box will be full of packing nuts and bubble wrap.

But does anybody slack off on cans as they are obviously not nearly fragile as glass?

I treat cans with kid gloves - wrong pressure at the wrong point means a leak. I trust bottles much more than cans personally.

I tape them together. A 4pk gets wrapped heavily with tape, then wrapped maybe twice with bubble wrap, assuming other stuff is in the box.

I just got a shipment from a buddy....I need to thank him....of vans that were wrapped once in good bubble wrap and surrounded with packing material.

They don't require as much as glass.

Honestly, I usually just toss the cans right in the box. They aren't loosely packed or anything, but they are usually not wrapped up at all. Never had a problem.

typically i still wrap them up individually, since it's not worth risking a $50 box to save 50 cents in packaging material. the only experience i've had with items exploding in transit was with cans.

I wrap them individually the same as bottles, then shrink wrapped together like a beer nucleus.

whatever you do, don't tape bubble wrap to the cans or you may be called out as a bad trader

I treat them exactly like bottles, with the only benefit being you can pack them more densely due to the shape. For example, it's super easy to get 2 bubble-wrapped cans into one standard styro or liquor box slot.

Cans can puncture much more easily than bottles, so packing them in loosely or without bubble wrap is asking for it IMO...
