From reading that article it sounds like we might see a new style in the beer styles page... unless I read it wrong, but here's a quote "As far as we’re concerned, the debate has been over for some time now and dumping these beers into the American IPA category doesn’t work"... so Todd will I have to go through the NEIPAs I've added and update the style at some point?

Shake it gently for a minute or two and that will resolve the issue. Cheers.

Also put it in 16oz Brewery only cans - that's essential, no? Line gets deep around 6am I think. ISO/FT

Got me pegged. Been drinking beer for 50 years. I love NEIPA and I love all the other 96 styles I have tried. But I am sure, based on your claim, that one or two of the remaining few styles I haven't yet tried will be the one(s) that prove I don't like beer.

Every thread. Every. Single. Thread. About NEIPA's this gets posted by someone. It's truly fascinating. BA is nothing if not consistent.

If it doesn't give me instant heartburn, then it's not a NE IPA.

Until an agreed upon definition exists in a style guideline (e.g., Brewers Association style guideline) you can continue to ask this question.

Even after an authority (Brewers Association, BJCP,...) establishes a definition for a NEIPA, and you continue to participate in internet forums, you can continue to discuss this topic. There are plenty of folks who post and opine on existing beer style definitions since they think they are a 'better' authority than BJCP. Brewers Association,...

    Cheers!

I wouldn't call The Big Broadcast New England style at all...however, I would call it amazing because I freaking love that beer. It's my top favorite local DIPA.

Which ones have you not tried? There are beers that now exist that are elusive and difficult to obtain, not simply because of cultural and geographical constraints, but because it is an endless quest through time. New beers are always days away.

Who says dryhopping doesn't add bitterness? That's a wives tale.

And here are the NEBAs getting all up in arms because someone doesn't like NEIPA. :sunglasses:

Brewing software does not calculate dry hopping as ibu's but of course it adds bitterness

There's not liking them, and then there's implying those who do don't like beer.

Dude, what I meant (should have clarified my post) was if you some one in your life (wiife, girlfriend, girlfriend on the side, secret 2nd wife, etc) and they don't like beer, give them a taste of Julius. Good chance they will prob want to yake their next vacation to central Massachusetts.
