    All in good fun.
Did they get any Abrasive over there?

Not that I'm aware of. They had reasonable prices for the most part also. Furious for 11.98 is not bad at all.

Heard that happened too but haven't seen any proof yet to back that up.

I was told April 1 for Surly in WI from one of the guys working at Discount in Milwaukee almost two months ago. Don't know if it's changed since then.

There's been quite a few Surly tap takeovers in Milwaukee area the last couple of weeks. Pretty sure they will be on shelves soon.

Apologies, I'm starting to see a very limited release show up in the Des Moines area now.

May-June is dates being floated now. Was going to be March...but you know their mantra....
It'll be here when its ready. They don't want to run (two) state roll-outs at generally the same time.

We have some Surly on tap currently in Oconomowoc, we have Axeman and Coffee Bender, hurry in while supplies last!

I don't know if the word has gotten out on Todd the Axe Man because it has been around for only a few months and isn't canned or bottled, but, in my opinion, it may well be Surly's best beer yet and one of the best IPAs (or double IPAs) I've ever had. I think it's not just better than Abrasive but actually a lot better than Abrasive (then again, I'm not as high on Abrasive as many are). It's definitely worth a try if you're in the Oconomowoc area. I thought it was on only at the brewery and a few select bars in the Twin Cities area.

I’m definitely stopping in next time I’m up that way! Coffee Bender is amazing and from what I've heard Axeman is very good as well.

Not to get too technical but the Axe Man has been out since a little before Darkness Day last year, so more than a few months. To your other point though, I do agree that it's one of the best IPA/DIPA's I've ever had. It's definitely my favorite Surly IPA/DIPA that they brew (yes, I prefer it over Abrasive). Hopefully one day they decide to can this.

If we're going to get really technical, it debuted at SurlyFest on 9-20-14, but it was taproom (and the old, much smaller, out-of-the-way taproom at that) and festival only for the first couple of months. I don't think all that many people tried it in its full glory without the palate fatigue that's inevitable at Darkness Day or a beer festival. Regardless, it's superb.

Added: I wonder if the fact that it originally was a collaboration initiated by Amager in Denmark, which named the beer and bottles its version of it for retail sale in Europe, complicates its prospects for canning. I'm just speculating.

Finally got Furious and Overrated back in Chicago now. We had not seen those since about last summer. Just picked some up and excited to try them again.

Oh yes it is on my radar, but unless it is canned I won't be having any since I rarely travel to MN.
