I had some at the funkatorium about a year ago. It was decent but I preferred French toasted wake n bake.

What's the deal with the hype for this beer? It's in can and suddenly more sought after than dark arts and angel of darkness combined lol

Put the french toast name and flavors in any beer and there will be hype. Now that there are more options than just growlers, people want the chance to try it. It has never been on tap long at the brewery. Hopefully this years will resmeble the first years release instead of last years.

Do you think they brought in a mobile canning line? Odd that this is their first can. I thought they should've canned their IPAs.

Haha... none of you had b1 French Toast did you? Literally better than Abraxas by a mile, close to as good as MD. It was unreal. I dont know how they fucked up b2, but from early sources, this batch is as good if not better than batch 1. I just hate how little there will be to go around :slight_frown:

Rumor has it they forgot to a a lot of the ingredients. I thought b1 was ok but i feel in love with the ba version.

I had batch 1, as I'm sure a lot of people here did. It was great. I was pretty let down by both batch 2 and the BA version though. I'd still like to have a couple cans of this just for the novelty of it. I figured we'd see this in the 500 ml sized bottles this winter, but instead they put out a 9.5% black ipa, lol just what everyone was hoping for!

b1 was amazing. and I didn't even want to finish b2. That's how bad they fucked up b2. Hope the cans are as good as b1.

I need to move to Asheville. This back and fourth from Raleigh is getting old.

Love the can art. And that french toast is making me hungry.

Just had this batch a couple weeks ago. Better than last years for sure. Not sure it is B1 level again but it was very good IMO.

It showed up on tap on New Years Day 2015 in Atlanta at a bar (before Wicked Weed had signed with a distributor). I wasn't impressed. Which batch was that?

How many cases are we talking here is my question with a pallet and a half? I expect this will be a ridiculous turnout. Trying to see if it's worth my time. I don't want to drive to Asheville and get shutout.

Back of the napkin math says around 90 people if everyone gets a full case.

Yeah...this seems like a disaster. So we're talking 90 people with mules and all I'm sure involved...yeah there's gonna be a lot of people leaving empty handed. A case seems excessive given that small of a number.

Agreed. But then again, WW on the weekend, especially the brewpub is always a mad house. Maybe easier to just get the beer out than have to deal with 500+ 'craft crazies' descending on an already very busy venue.

Going to be in town Thursday-Monday, I've been to ww a few times but never for a release. 2 hours early seem like I should be able to get a couple 4 packs?

    Seems reasonable but no idea.

There is a lot going on in NC Beer on Sat. Friday night bottle shares at Foothills and in Raleigh, then SC release and Raleigh Rare on Sat as well.
