Wyeast 3655 Substitute

    Question for those who do lots of Belgians... What year 'round strain would you say is most similar to Wyeast 3655, from a flavor and attenuation perspective? TIA!

    Where did you find that? Is it from the private collection? I've never heard of that one.

    Yes. White Labs also has it, but also as a seasonal, and pretty much the same damn season.

    Sort of a lager like ale strain? Kolsch or alt strains?

    I just had Avery Karma this past weekend and thought it was avery nice BPA (that was an accident, but I decided to leave it in). I actually wondered whether they used this strain to make it. Of course, this doesn't help unless someone knows that they actually use a readily available strain. According to here, Rochefort: http://averybrewing.com/brewery/recipes-for-homebrewers/
