    Hi all,

I asked for the 3711 (French Saison) but my lhbs ordered this one instead. Has anyone used it before?

I heard it was the fantome strain. I'd love some pointers (ferm temp, blow off needed etc) if anyone has played around with it.

    Cheers!

Small to medium krausen, mid 70s, will ferment medium dry, not as low as Dupont or 3711, but lower than a standard Belgian Ale yeast.

had good experience with it...agree with jbaka...i've had it bring the beer down to like 1003-1004 range on a 1060s beer. Lagered for a period and came out with a pretty nice biere de garde.

Of the saison yeast available from Wyeast, it's my least favorite. Didn't get as dry as 3724, 3711, or even 3726, and I got this weird grape-soda ester from it. Worth a try, though.

Awesome, thanks a lot guys. A bit bummed I didn't get what I ordered but still looking forward to it nevertheless.
