Wyeast smash pack - smashed - in fridge - Still good?

    I bought a Dennys favorite yeast about 2 months ago, it has been sitting in the fridge since,

    moving some stuff around last week I noticed it appears to have been smashed, its somewhat puffed up compared to the other pack I have,

    Do you think its still okay to use?

    I aways make a starter anyway.

    I don't see any reason not to use it. Just make a starter of appropriate size for the age of the yeast and the gravity and volume of the wort.
