Does anyone have any suggestions for a place to drink a few beers within walking distance of the Wyndham Grand Downtown Pittsburgh? I will be there in February with some time to kill.

Downtown often turns into a Scooby Doo ghost town after 9PM, but Meat and Potatoes and Proper might have the largest number of taps featuring good beers in your immediate area. They post their tap lists online, so you can check before you go. Sharp Edge will have five local beers on, but you might want to consider taking an Uber over to Southside if you have the time (it's a short ride)--you probably see your fair share of Fat Heads in Ohio, but Pipers and Carson Street Deli are worth the extra bit of effort.

Thanks for the info. That really helps. Is there anywhere downtown to pick up a six pack of something local?

Not many local breweries offer sixers; those that bottle default to bombers. These are usually on premises--Draai Laag or Brew Gentlemen; neither accessible to you via walking. Fat Heads has sixers on site, but you're probably used to seeing this. Some bars will have bottles to go, but outside of BMC, you're going to pay a premium for beer that is most likely past its prime.

Best bet is a growler or half and then hole up in the hotel. If your trip is through work and there's a car service, you could stop at Giant Eagle in Robinson on the way from the airport to the hotel. Only other thought would be to Uber up to Atlas Bottle Works, which is 3.5 miles from where you're staying.

please excuse the three seperate uses of the word "market", but:
The Yard market square. Also, a bit pricey, but within a mile is Beer Market
Market St. Grocery dahn tahn has craft sixpacks and bombers from time to time.
I would go in the morning though. They close early. Good sandwiches and espresso too.
