Spending a few days in a Palm City with the inlaws and would love the locals advice on places to go. Somewhat limited family patience and use of car so I'm not making the journey to cigar city this go round. Will try to get to Boca for funky Buddha. Locally I've always just hit the total wine but would appreciate tips on bottle shops nearby and particularly, good breweries to visit within about an hours drive or so.

    TIA!

In Palm City there is Vine & Barley Palm City. Absolutely killer beer bar. The owner Mark really knows his stuff and cares about putting on great beers. Not far from there is House of Beers/A Picky Gourmet in Jensen Beach. Good beer bar/bottle shop. Tequesta Brewing is just a little south of Palm City and makes some great beers as well. And I would be remiss if I didn't plug the brewery I work at, Due South. We are in Boynton Beach just off I-95 so you could stop in on your way to the Buddha, which is of course a great choice.

House of Brews in Jensen Beach is a must. Just around the corner from TW and Brent has a great bottle selection to take home, growlers of his 33 taps, and some pretty good snacks(it's also a small gourmet foods shop as well). Vine and Barley palm city isn't bad either, but house of brews is my spot

Thanks guys, very much, for the tips. Mike, if I can get there I will definitely stop in to Due South and say hello in a few weeks. It's about 19 degrees in CT now, I need me some warmth! I see the forecast is for low-mid 80's, periods of rain. I am still holding out hope of going in the pool and to the beach and spending each evening drinking beer outside in the backyard. Can't come soon enough!

No problem. Let me know if and when you plan on coming in.
