Xocoveza in Philly

    Previously I saw through the beer finder on Stone's web site that Xocoveza would be shipping to/arriving in (not sure which) Philadelphia on November 16. That was yesterday and as far as I can tell it hasn't made its way here just yet. And Stone's beer finder turns up zero results for the area. Just wondering if anyone has any intel on when it might hit, and then fly off, shelves in and around Philly.

    I'm pretty sure it hasn't landed yet. I started watching late last week once I saw that Nov 16th might be "the day" and that other states (mainly out west) were getting deliveries prior to the release date. I have no info from retailers other than they are waiting too. I called Origlio - the person I talked to said they didn't have it (and made it sound like she hadn't heard of it) - so I don't put much stock in that intel ..I guess that's what I get for cold-calling a wholesaler.... I have fingers crossed for this week. Thanks for starting this thread...I'll be watching this one. Cheers!

    I talked to our local Stone Rep who said we should see it in Philly either next week or the week after.
    So at least I can call off my daily online search until then.
    BTW, the Stone rep for our area seems pretty much awesome and welcoming to talk to about beer.

    Anyone see this around Philadelphia yet? My local shop indicated it should be coming soon but I have not seen it yet and they don't have any details.

    I was in the beer store Southampton on Thanksgiving and asked for it, but it hadn't come in yet.

    Wegmans in Malvern has a few cases. $17.99 a 6er. If there's none on the shelves it looked like they had more in the back.

    Had about 10 sixers on the shelf at Wegmans in North Wales this afternoon. $17.99. Singles at Capones too.

    Struck out at the new Wegmans in Glen Mills. Struck out at the Wegmans in Cherry Hill (Stone beer finder says it should be there, but the guy I asked said they didn't have it).

    I was finally able to grab 4 bottles at Hawthornes in South Philly. Came to about $16. Hopefully I find a 6-pack in the burbs, but I had no problem paying a premium in the city to make sure I get to drink at least a few of these.

    Side note: Two lonely, random bottles of Big Bad Baptist found in Wegmans Cherry Hill. I gave them a home.
