Not as good as the other Mexican stouts but good to see it back again. It could stand being a bit thicker this time around.

I had it once and absolutely loved it. I was very bummed when i couldn't find it again. Now I gladly await its return!

Just revisited this on tap a couple weeks ago next to Bomb!, Black Butte, KBS, Bo and Luke, West Sixth Snake Cake, and a few others. Xocoveza was a clear winner for me in the taste and aroma departments. The mouthfeel was the only area that felt lacking but it was definitely no deal-breaker and it didn't stop me from getting multiple pours of it. Yes, an imperial version sounds amazing but I would also take it as-is any day.

This isn't the original batch that was barrel-aged. The label says it's a new batch of Xocoveza that was barrel aged. Hopefully they release some of the non-barrel aged.

Just drank my last xocoveza this weekend and really enjoyed it. I think the tequila will accent the peppers nicely but I'm not sure about the wine... But I'll hold out judgement until I have a glass in hand.

The article says it was brewed in July and November 2014, isn't that when the original came out?

First batch of Xocoveza was likely July and the batch that went into these barrels was likely November.

I seem to be In the minority here but I was very underwhelmed by this beer. Would love to revisit again though so I am looking forward to trying it again.

I loved this beer but red wine barrels? No thanks, I'm sure someone it there will like it but not this guy. Bring back the straight version, it was amazing fresh!
