I've got a bunch of Heady that is ~18 months old now. Not intentional, just sort of got away from me and then I actively avoided drinking it because it was "old". Now whenever I get some fresh I pull out an old can and compare. I think it is kind of good in its own way, but at this point it is a different beer than fresh at this point. It is stored at around 60-65 degrees.

going to crack it tmmrw. had a can of sip last week canned 03/02/16, so I think I can give a good comparison

I was given a heady that was 14 months old. To me there was no resemblance to the original beer. Glad to hear some people have enjoyed some aged heady though. Gives me hope that the cans i forgot to drink a couple months back might still be good!

I posted about a year ago about a one year old Heady that I drank...and I'm back to report in on my results from a Heady that I'm now drinking with...drum roll please...with 2 years on the clock!! The results - I'm drinkin' it!!

I poured 2/3s into an Alchemist pint glass and shook the last 1/3 up and poured it into an 8 oz Heineken glass to get the sediment. The results were similar with what John Kimmich explains in his video. My experience was that the Alchemist pint glass' contents were nicely malty. The hop aroma wasn't there, in fact, it almost smelled like a lager, and there was only a slight bitterness evident in the taste. I really enjoyed the Heineken sludge glass too - the combination of its mouthfeel, stronger but not unpleasant bitterness, and maltiness took the prize of the day for me. So, ISO two year old Heady...?! Cheers!
